About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Special Operations Command is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of upgrading an external electrical outlet from 30 amperes to 100 amperes. The project scope includes running conduit and appropriate wiring from the building's interior breaker box to the exterior location to support mission-essential equipment that requires more than 30 amps of power. The upgrade is intended to enable safe and efficient power delivery, reduce setup time, and allow the facility to meet mission demands prior to mission start and during system checks and runs. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award. This is a Sources Sought notice published for market research purposes only, and no formal solicitation is currently available; responses to this notice will not receive a reply. The due date for market research responses is March 6, 2026.

This acquisition is set aside exclusively for small business concerns, and all responding contractors must confirm their small business status and identify participation in any applicable small business socioeconomic contracting programs. The notice does not identify any current contractors or incumbents, nor does it specify an award value or budget range at this stage of market research. The results from this market survey will inform the government's determination regarding potential socioeconomic set-asides, such as Women-Owned Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, or other designated categories. The work falls under NAICS code 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) and PSC code N059 (Installation of Equipment—Electrical and Electronic Equipment Components). Interested contractors should monitor future solicitation announcements on sam.gov for the formal request for proposal.

This Sources Sought notice is published for market research purposes only. This market survey is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirement. The objective of this project is to upgrade an external 30A plug to a 100A plug. This includes running a conduit and the appropriate running from the breaker box of the buildings interior to the exterior location. The 100-amp receptacle is needed to support mission essential equipment that require more than 30-amps of power prior to mission-start, during checks and system runs.
