About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) has issued a Special Notice for Contract N6883622D0010, which was originally awarded to Freighthaulers, Inc. dba A-1 Moving on August 1, 2022. The contract, valued at $249,495.00, covers Outbound Household Goods (HHG) Support Services for the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) located on Andros Island, Bahamas. The initial contract structure includes a twelve-month base period with four additional twelve-month option periods and a potential six-month extension option under FAR 52.217-8. This special notice pertains to a planned modification of the existing contract to accommodate increased service member relocation requirements.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to increase the maximum number of moves permitted under the current contract to support service members with outbound Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders requiring pack-out services through December 31, 2025. The contract modification will enable NAVSUP JPPSO-SE to effectively manage household goods transportation needs for military personnel stationed at AUTEC. No specific set-aside has been applied to this contract, suggesting it is open to standard competitive bidding. The special notice was posted on May 6, 2025, with a response deadline of May 8, 2025, indicating a short window for potential contractors to review and respond to the proposed modifications. While the notice does not explicitly outline new eligibility criteria, it suggests that the current contractor, Freighthaulers, Inc., will be the primary focus of the contract amendment.
