About this opportunity
USACE Kansas City issued a notice of intent on May 6, 2026 to sole-source a follow-on architecture and engineering contract under FAR 6.103-1(c)(2)(ii), with a response deadline of May 21, 2026. The current A-E contractor, selected through Brooks Act procedures as the most highly qualified firm, will be awarded a new contract after expiration of the MATOC vehicle through which the prior award was made. Program changes and an urgent timeline prevent competition and would otherwise create unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This notice announces the sole-source intent only and is not a solicitation for proposals or a request for statements of interest from competing parties.

Update #2 · Latest ·
Notice of intent for a sole source follow-on AE contract under Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 6.103-1(c)(2)(ii), the urgency does not allow time for competition. The current A-E contractor was selected following the Brooks Act procedures and chosen as the most highly qualified contractor. The MATOC that the action was awrded thru has expired and changes to the program necesitate a new contract. As a logical follow-on and the very tight time-line alloted for the changes, USACE Kansas City intends to sole source the requirement to the current contractor as time does not afford us the opportunity to facilitate competition and would create unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agancy's requirements.
This is not a solicitation for proposals or a list of interested parties.
