About this opportunity

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is seeking to acquire an Enterprise PACS Orthopedic Templating Software solution that can integrate with existing PACS vendors including Agfa, Fuji, and Phillips. The contract aims to consolidate and centralize orthopedic templating software across DHA systems, with implementation occurring within a government host virtual environment. The primary objectives include transitioning from local and hub PACS solutions to a single enterprise software platform that meets industry performance standards and offers robust redundancy and contingency features. This pre-solicitation notice is specifically a Request for Information (RFI), meaning no contract will be awarded directly through this announcement, and the agency is seeking preliminary market insights. The opportunity was posted on April 4, 2025, with responses due by April 16, 2025, indicating a relatively short window for potential vendors to provide feedback and information.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. While no specific award value or budget range is mentioned, the complexity of integrating with multiple PACS vendors and implementing an enterprise-wide solution suggests a potentially significant contract. The new orthopedic templating software system will require full technical integration capabilities, state-of-the-art technology enhancements, and minimal service disruption during implementation. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, and materials to complete the transition. The ultimate goal is to improve user experience and create a more streamlined, centralized software solution for orthopedic templating across the Defense Health Agency's systems.
