About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has issued a Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition to extend the existing Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) contract, currently held by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). The OPTN is a critical service that facilitates the equitable allocation of donated organs and maintains the national organ transplant waiting list. The proposed 21-month contract extension, valued at $133,879,990, will ensure continuity of OPTN services while HRSA develops and implements a new contracting strategy to increase competition for future OPTN requirements, expected to be awarded in Q4 FY24.
