This requirement requires operation (opening/closing) of the ABS barrier gate in the port/harbor of Naval Station Rota Spain for all U. S. Department of Defense (DOD) assets, Spanish Navy, and NATO small craft and ships that require access in and/or out of the harbor.
The Contractor shall provide the necessary supervision and management, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, technical expertise and manpower to operate the ABS. Update #2 ·
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions asked prior to deadline.
This requirement requires operation (opening/closing) of the ABS barrier gate in the port/harbor of Naval Station Rota Spain for all U. S. DOD assets, Spanish Navy, and NATO small craft and ships that require access in and/or out of the harbor.
The ABS is outfitted with quick connect/disconnect hardware that allows for two sections of the ABS to act as operating (open or close) gates. There are two gates that allow access to the harbor, one large gate and one smaller gate. The large main gate is approximately 228 meters in length and facilitates the passage of larger vessels, ships and submarines in and out of the harbor.
The small gate is directly connected to the large gate that can allow smaller boats access to the harbor without opening the larger gate..
