About this opportunity

This Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice from the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is to continue operational and support services for over 3,400 cages of inbred, congenic, transgenic, and gene knockout mouse strains through a 12-month bridge contract, with two 6-month options, to Taconic Biosciences. A market survey found Taconic is currently the only contractor capable of meeting NIAID's research needs due to the extensive time required to transfer and reestablish over 120 mouse strains at its murine pathogen-free breeding facility. The bridge contract will allow for a full and open competition of the follow-on award while ensuring no disruption to ongoing research projects relying on the mouse repository services.
