About this opportunity
The Department of the Treasury Departmental Offices is seeking to procure an online subscription service for The Washington Post, intended to provide comprehensive news coverage for its library and staff. The solicitation (RFQ 2032H325Q00006) is for a firm fixed price contract that will initially support 500 users, with options to expand to 800 users across multiple periods. The contract will cover a base period from January 15, 2025, to January 14, 2026, with four additional one-year option periods through January 14, 2030. Vendors must be authorized resellers of Washington Post online services and provide 24/7 access to news covering U.S. politics, investigations, climate, technology, and world news. Questions regarding the solicitation were due by November 12, 2024, with final proposals required to be submitted electronically to Ramona L. Hanson by December 19, 2024, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.
The procurement is unrestricted and open to all sources, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 513110 for Newspaper Publishers. The government intends to award this as a sole-source procurement, with an anticipated award date of January 15, 2025. The contract will be executed as a purchase order with a firm fixed price, allowing for potential 6-month service extensions under FAR 52.217-8. Performance will occur in Washington, DC 20220, and the subscription must support online access for Treasury Department users. Pricing will be structured with base rates for 500 users and optional additional rates for 300 users in each contract period, with electronic invoicing required through the Invoice Processing Platform. The total contract value will be determined by the fixed unit rates and the number of users selected across the base and option periods.
