About this opportunity

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center published a Special Notice seeking proposals for on-demand manufacturing and radiation-hardened electronics of microgravity-CVD 2D semiconductors. The opportunity is set aside on a sole source 8(a) basis.

The Special Notice aims to provide manufacturing capabilities for producing 2D semiconductors in microgravity using chemical vapor deposition. Offerors must demonstrate experience with microgravity experiment design, semiconductor material growth, electronics fabrication, and radiation hardening. Proposals are due by February 29, 2024 to provide radiation-hardened integrated circuits incorporating 2D semiconductors grown on the International Space Station under a 24 month period of performance beginning from date of award. Eligible contractors must have experience in the technical areas described and meet the criteria of the 8(a) program to qualify for consideration under this sole source opportunity. The final product will further the development of radiation hardened electronics using novel 2D semiconductors for application in space environments.
