About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, on behalf of the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturers of gas turbine spark igniters (NSN 2925-01-503-4386RV, Part Number 9045600-20) for the TF33 engine platform. Qualified suppliers must be capable of providing all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment required for new manufacture of the spark igniters, including component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping. Suppliers may also be responsible for supply chain chain management, logistics planning, production forecasting, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues. All business types are eligible to respond, including large businesses, small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) certified firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Interested parties must complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package and submit business information by February 25, 2026, with SAR packages to be submitted electronically through DoD SAFE by the same deadline. The NAICS code 336412 applies with a corresponding size standard of 1,500 employees.
This is an unrestricted procurement with no set-aside designation. No incumbent contractor or current award value has been identified in the sources sought notice. The requirement is for new spares with an estimated delivery date of December 31, 2026, and no repair capability is required. Unit prices will be established at contract award, and potential sources should be prepared to potentially incur nonrecurring engineering costs to become approved suppliers. The place of performance is Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Interested vendors should direct inquiries to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil and submit SAR packages to 429SCMS.SASPO.Workflow@us.af.mil and stacy.cochran@us.af.mil.
