About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify companies capable of manufacturing or legitimately obtaining NSN 2915-01-493-9532, a fuel injection nozzle for the Eagle F-15 aircraft. This notice is issued for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment by the Government to award a contract. Interested parties must submit their responses by January 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time via email to Tatjana Klemmer at tatjana.vaughan@dla.mil. Companies seeking to become approved sources must demonstrate that their product meets or exceeds the quality standards of the currently approved item through submission of a Source Approval Request (SAR) package that includes all necessary technical data. No funds are available to compensate respondents for preparing their submissions, and responses are strictly voluntary with no obligation for the Government to proceed with any contract award.
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and is currently sourced from two established contractors: RTX Corporation (CAGES 52661 and 77445) and Woodward FST, Inc. (CAGE 65065), both of which manufacture the item under part number 4084965-01. The notice does not specify contract award values, quantities, or budget ranges, as this is a pre-solicitation market research phase rather than a formal request for proposals. The burden of proof rests on potential contractors to document and demonstrate that their fuel injection nozzle product is equal to or superior to the currently approved item that DLA Aviation is procuring. Interested companies should contact the DLA Aviation Contracting Office located at 6090 Strathmore Road, Richmond, Virginia 23237 for additional information regarding the Source Approval Request process.
