About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring Pylon Idler Mounts (NSN 1560-00-903-1018, Part Number J12292-1) for HH/UH-1 Iroquois helicopters. This indefinite quantity contract (IQC) will be issued as an unrestricted procurement on or about April 3, 2026, with a response deadline of April 3, 2026. The solicitation will be available exclusively through the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp in portable document format, with no paper copies distributed. While the notice does not explicitly detail evaluation criteria, interested contractors should access the full solicitation upon release to understand all technical requirements, compliance standards, and submission guidelines necessary for competitive bidding on this airframe structural component.

This is an unrestricted procurement with no set-aside designations. The current manufacturers are Lord Corporation (CAGE 76005) and Bell Textron Inc (CAGE 97499), both of whom may be considered incumbents in this solicitation. The contract establishes a base period of two years with zero options and an estimated annual quantity of 50 units per year. Delivery requirements specify 462 days after the date of order, with inspection and acceptance occurring at the origin point and FOB also at origin. While the notice does not provide an explicit contract value, the two-year base period with 50 annual units offers a substantial procurement opportunity for qualified manufacturers of this critical helicopter component.
