About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior, through its Interior Business Center (IBC) Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), has issued a Special Notice regarding the planned closeout of multiple federal contracts. This notice was posted on March 30, 2026, and serves as advance notification to vendors whose contracts are subject to administrative closure. The contracts identified in the attached listing have completed their periods of performance, are fully invoiced, and carry zero remaining balances. The IBC is proceeding with contract closeout actions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 4.804. This Special Notice applies to a diverse portfolio of approximately 50 contracts across various service categories, including consulting, professional services, logistics, and technical services, awarded to contractors ranging from large firms such as Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte Consulting to smaller specialized vendors.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide affected contractors with advance notification of impending unilateral contract closeout actions and an opportunity to respond before closure occurs. Contractors have until April 13, 2026, to submit requests for bilateral closeout modifications or to present valid reasons why the closeout should not proceed; unilateral closeout will commence ten business days after the notice posting if no objections are received. Contractors named in the attached contract list are the primary parties eligible to respond, as these are existing contract holders whose agreements are reaching administrative conclusion. There are no set-asides or specific eligibility criteria for new participation, as this notice pertains solely to the closure of completed contracts with expired periods of performance and zero outstanding financial obligations. Interested parties should contact the designated point of contact listed in the announcement to discuss their specific contract status or closure preferences.
