About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) has issued a Special Notice regarding the closeout of multiple federal contracts that have completed their performance periods. This administrative notice affects various contractors including LDSS INC., Carahsoft Technology Corp, Parker Tide LLC, and Chickasaw Defense Logistics LLC, among others. The contracts in question span different types including Time and Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Labor Hours, and Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment arrangements. All identified contracts have expired performance periods, are fully invoiced, and maintain zero dollar remaining balances. The notice serves as advance notification to affected vendors before the government proceeds with formal contract closeout procedures.

The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to inform contractors of the government's intent to close out completed contracts in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 4.804. Contractors have until August 15, 2025, to respond if they prefer a bilateral contract closeout modification or have valid reasons to oppose the closeout action. The government will begin unilateral contract closeout procedures ten business days after the notice posting date of August 1, 2025. No specific eligibility criteria apply since this notice targets existing contractors with completed contracts rather than soliciting new participation. The initiative represents routine administrative contract management to formally close out contracts that have fulfilled their performance requirements and financial obligations, ensuring proper contract lifecycle completion and government record-keeping compliance.
