About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) has issued a Special Notice regarding the closeout of multiple federal contracts. This notice specifically addresses contracts that have an expired period of performance, are fully invoiced, and maintain a zero dollar remaining balance. The announcement was posted on May 5, 2025, with a response deadline of May 16, 2025. The notice applies to a comprehensive list of 57 contracts spanning various contract types including Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, and Labor Hours. The contracts involve multiple contractors such as TESSCO Incorporated, NTT DATA Services Federal, Science Applications International, and other technology and service providers.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide advance notification to vendors about an upcoming unilateral contract closeout process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 4.804. Contractors have ten business days from the posting date to respond if they prefer a bilateral contract closeout modification or believe there are valid reasons to prevent the closeout. The notice does not impose specific eligibility criteria, as it appears to be an administrative action for contracts that have already completed their performance periods. Contractors identified in the attached contract list are invited to contact the designated point of contact if they have concerns or objections to the proposed closeout. The process is designed to formally conclude contracts that have naturally reached their end, with no remaining financial obligations, representing a standard administrative procedure in federal contract management.
