About this opportunity

Arkansas Air National Guard, 189 Mission Support Contracting at Little Rock Air Force Base, intends to issue a sole-source firm-fixed price award to Advantor for duress buttons totaling $17,700.67 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold authority (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i)). The procurement is driven by Air Force Instruction 44-172 and Unified Facilities Criteria 4-510-01, which mandate duress alarm systems at Military Treatment Facilities, including monthly testing coordinated with Security Forces and semi-annual exercises with documented threat response protocols. Advantor was selected based on system integration requirements: the 19th Airlift Wing's base-wide security infrastructure operates on Advantor's proprietary license and communication software, and market research confirmed that competing systems cannot integrate with the existing installation alarm system. The contracting officer determined the anticipated cost fair and reasonable. This notice is published per FAR 5.101(a) and is not a request for quotes or bids. Interested concerns may submit clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government; the Government retains sole discretion on whether to compete the requirement.
