Quantity Two (2): Telecom band entangled photon source, EPS-1000-CR
Quantity Two (2): Two-channel correlated photon detection system CPDS-1000-2-SFP x 2
Quantity Two (2): Polarization Analyzer PA-1000-P-1-S
Quantity Two (2): Polarization Analyzer PA-1000-P-1-SC
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice functions as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror's who believe they can meet the Government's requirement (see Section 9 below). Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
9. Requirement: ARL requires telecom fiberoptic transmission systems based on entangled photon pairs. ARL requires the system to have a source of entangled photon pairs as well as two (2) detector stations, each comprised of two (2) single photon detectors and polarization analyzers. The system must create a pair of entangled photons, route them via different fibers into two (2) remote detector stations and assesse the quality of entanglement via quantum tomography measurements.
