About this opportunity
This Special Notice was published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 8. The EPA intends to award a sole source contract to the Colorado Regional Transportation District (RTD) to provide transit passes to all eligible EPA employees. These passes will allow use of RTD bus and light rail services.
The Special Notice aims to provide RTD passes as an incentive for employees to use alternative commuting methods that promote clean air in line with the EPA's mission. Contractors must submit a response by December 29, 2023 to be considered, including documentation demonstrating their qualifications. The passes are intended for all eligible EPA employees and will allow use of RTD's mixed mode transit systems of bus and light rail. If responses do not justify competition, EPA may make a non-competitive sole source award for the RTD passes valued at $29 million to directly support EPA employees' use of mass transit.
