The notice specifically outlines the intent to sole source certain equipment from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), including specific relay, controller, and networking equipment models. The contract opportunity is not a competitive solicitation, but rather a notification of the Corps' planned procurement approach for critical infrastructure components. The special notice was posted on February 25, 2025, with a response deadline of March 12, 2025. The notice pertains to a defense-related infrastructure project involving power generation and microgrid technology.
Contractors interested in this opportunity are invited to submit a capability statement if they believe they can meet the specified requirements. All submissions must be in writing and provide sufficient detail for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to evaluate potential alternative sources. The submission deadline is 2:00 PM ET on March 12, 2025, and must be sent via email to alexa.l.dukes@usace.army.mil. While the notice indicates a sole-source intent for SEL equipment, it allows for potential alternatives by permitting interested parties to demonstrate their capability to fulfill the project requirements.
