About this opportunity

This Special Notice announces the Internal Revenue Service's intent to award a sole source purchase order to Citizant, Inc. for support services related to the Insurance Provider Fee Application.

The purchase order aims to provide maintenance support for the IPF Application through December 31, 2020 and conduct an orderly shutdown beginning in early 2021. Only Citizant is eligible as the incumbent contractor for this work. Interested parties cannot submit competitive quotes or proposals in response, as this is a non-competitive sole source award under FAR 13.5 due to Citizant being the only responsible source able to satisfy the agency's requirements. The notice establishes a deadline of May 30, 2020 for any discretionary determination by the IRS not to proceed with the non-competitive award. Upon completion, this purchase order will accomplish the mandated shutdown of the IPF Application project resulting from provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act being repealed effective January 1, 2021.
