The Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) Europe intends to issue a sole source award to Crotched Mountain Foundation under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The period of performance will be a 12-month base period with one (1) 12-month option period starting in July 2016.
The contractor shall provide residential/special education services for a DoDEA student. The student requires a highly structured, multi-disciplinary residential educational setting. The multi-disciplinary setting must include specially designed instruction, counseling services, behavior stabilization, vocational education, independent living and a residential program. This contract is being awarded sole source because the Crotched Mountain Foundation has the capability to meet the specialized needs of the student and has immediate space available.
This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by e-mail to robin.castoldi@eu.dodea.edu which shall be considered by DoDEA. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown above before the deadline indicated in this notice in order to be considered. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
