About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Knox issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source on September 4, 2026, for esports automation equipment valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold, with capability statements due by September 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. MICC intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Esports Foundry, Inc. (UEI: MT9KUNBZNW67; CAGE: 01V87), located in Worthington, Ohio, under FAR Part 12 simplified acquisition procedures for commercial products. This is not a competitive solicitation and no RFP will be posted.
The procurement covers phase two esports automation equipment—including custom staging, LED displays, automated broadcast and audiovisual hardware, professional studio lighting systems, and full systems integration—for the U.S. Army Esports Team gaming stage at Building 1610, Fort Knox, Kentucky. The equipment must be delivered and installed within 90 days of award. Esports Foundry is justified as the sole source because the phase two automation equipment is proprietary to its digital engagement studio architecture and must integrate with existing phase one infrastructure previously procured from the same vendor; the justification states that competing systems cannot provide required integration and compatibility without substantial cost duplication, schedule delays, and technical risk.
Despite the sole-source intent, interested parties may submit capability statements by September 19, 2026, demonstrating ability to meet the requirement, including relevant experience, pricing, and supporting documentation. Submissions go to Contract Specialist Clarence A. Jones (clarence.a.jones6.civ@army.mil) and Contracting Officer Andrea M. Skilinski (andrea.m.skilinski.civ@army.mil). Award is anticipated in September 2026.
