This amends the response date to June 8, 2011.
SUBJECT: Notice of Intent to Sole Source
The U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Business Services is contemplating negotiating a small business sole source contract under authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements," with Integrated Technologies Corporation (ITC), 4801 Hardware Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109-2019. ITC is the only source capable of upgrading or adding to the existing fiber optic network without violating existing warranties or infringing on proprietary elements of the fiber optic infrastructure currently in place. The initial installation included a 20 year warranty and encompasses proprietary ITC equipment that other contractors would not have access to. This work includes utilizing the existing fiber optic network. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 237130 with a business size standard of $33.5 million. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is forthcoming. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NNSA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this Notice. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Any questions or comments pertaining to this action shall be emailed to kmaestas@doeal.gov, Attn: Krystal Maestas, NNSA Contract Specialist, no later than Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
