About this opportunity

The Mt. Hood National Forest, part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract with the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation, doing business as GeoVisions. The contract would involve an oral history study related to the 2020 Riverside wildfire perimeter, as well as an executive summary for a previous oral history study completed by GeoVisions for the Government Camp Land Exchange area.

The purpose of this sole source contract is to fulfill mitigation requirements under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, using the simplified procedures for certain commercial items under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5. The contract is set aside for small businesses, and GeoVisions, as a tribally owned enterprise, is the only entity qualified to provide the required services, which involve discussing the Tribe's unique traditional and cultural use of the fire recovery area. The anticipated costs for the two tasks have been determined to be fair and reasonable based on previous similar orders completed by GeoVisions.
