About this opportunity

The Department of the Army National Guard has issued a Special Notice regarding a sole source procurement for intrusion detection and duress notification systems at the Harrisburg Air Nation Guard Base. The notice specifically relates to a project for re-configuring and constructing an Entry Control Facility, with the intent to acquire specialized security components. The procurement is being facilitated under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, which allows for sole source acquisition when only one source can provide the required supplies or services at the necessary quality level. The opportunity is set aside for total small businesses and focuses on upgrading security infrastructure at the 193rd Special Operations Wing. The specific procurement involves advanced security and surveillance equipment for the base's main gate area.

Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit capability statements by June 5, 2025, at 4:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time via email to specified Air Force contacts. The project requires installing eighteen cameras, an Infraguard II LAN Panel, duress buttons, a network switch, monitoring equipment, and video wall systems across the main gate facility and BDOC (Base Defense Operations Center). Eligibility is limited to small businesses capable of providing equipment compatible with the existing Advantor System infrastructure. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with a competitive or sole source procurement based on the received capability statements. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format and sent to aaron.snow.2@us.af.mil and macy.wester.1@us.af.mil. The notice emphasizes that requests for documentation or questions will not be considered as formal responses, and the focus is on determining the most appropriate procurement approach for these specialized security systems.
