About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has published a Notice of Intent to Sole Source for the North Shore MW Antenna Removal project, with the intention to award a firm-fixed price contract. This special notice represents the only formal publication that will be made regarding this procurement opportunity. The FBI plans to utilize sole source authority under FAR 6.302-1 to negotiate with only one contractor, Beacon Communications Construction Inc (Cage Code 7USV1), for antenna removal services. The procurement falls under NAICS code 237130 for Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction and is set aside for Total Small Business participation. The notice emphasizes that this is not a request for competitive quotations, but rather an announcement of the government's intent to proceed with a single source.
The sole source justification is based on site access restrictions imposed by Communications Leasing Inc, which controls the antenna site and has specifically authorized only Beacon Communications Construction Inc to perform the removal work. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may express their interest, capabilities, and provide an authorized provider letter by contacting the Contracting Officer via email at dehankins2@fbi.gov no later than 11:00 AM Central Time on July 15, 2025. All potential contractors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for government contracts, and the FBI will utilize the IPP.gov financial system for payment processing. The government retains discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on any responses received, though the current intent is to proceed with the sole source award to the pre-authorized contractor.
