About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a notice of intent to award a single source contract extension to ADC LTD NM for Contract Security Officer (CSO) services in the FAA Southeast Service Area. This Special Notice, published by the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration Headquarters on June 12, 2025, serves as an informational announcement rather than a solicitation for proposals. The notice explains the agency's decision to bypass competitive bidding procedures and directly extend the current contract with the incumbent contractor. The extension will provide three additional months of security officer services through September 29, 2025, at FAA locations throughout the southeast region. This action aligns with FAA Order 1600.69D requirements and the FAA Acquisition Management System guidelines for single source procurements.
The primary purpose of this single source extension is to prevent any gap in critical security services while the FAA reassesses its long-term strategy for fulfilling CSO requirements in the region. ADC LTD NM's position as the incumbent contractor makes them uniquely qualified to continue providing uninterrupted services during this transitional period. Interested parties have until 10:00 AM ET on June 16, 2025, to submit questions or comments regarding this announcement to the designated Contracting Officer, Manish Patel, at manish.patel@faa.gov. Since this is strictly an informational notice rather than a competitive solicitation, no eligibility criteria or participation requirements are specified for other contractors. The notice emphasizes that maintaining continuity of security services is the driving factor behind this non-competitive procurement decision.
