About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) has issued a Special Notice regarding the renewal of leased office space in Meriden, Connecticut under lease number 3CT0124. This notice announces the government's intent to renew an existing lease using other than full and open competition, meaning the renewal will not be open to general bidding from the public. The GSA is seeking approximately 4,732 assignable square feet (ABOA) of office space with related facilities, with flexibility to consider up to 4,968 ABOA square feet if economically advantageous. The space must include one surface parking space and comply with stringent federal standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic considerations, and sustainability. The opportunity is classified under NAICS 531120 (Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings) and PSC X1AA (Lease/Rental of Office Buildings).
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to secure continued office space in Meriden through a lease renewal with an estimated occupancy date of October 15, 2026, and a full term of 60 months. Prospective lessors must submit offers by the February 13, 2026 deadline and provide fully serviced lease space that does not fall within a 100-year floodplain. The government will evaluate alternative space options based on economic feasibility, considering relocation costs such as physical move expenses, tenant improvement replication, and infrastructure modifications alongside current lease terms. Only property owners or authorized representatives may submit offers; sublease space will not be accepted. All participants must comply with Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act regarding telecommunications prohibitions, ensuring offered space meets all applicable federal requirements.
