About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District New York has published a Notice of Intent to limit fair opportunity for the purchase of printers under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). The agency intends to procure six HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M776dn Series printers on a sole source basis through the Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) system. This procurement will be structured as a Firm-Fixed Price Delivery Order for brand name or proprietary components. The notice falls under NAICS code 334118 for Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 6740 for Photographic Developing and Finishing Equipment. The posting date is August 14, 2025, with responses due by August 31, 2025.

The Army has determined that only the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M776dn Series meets their specific requirements, as the equipment must comply with Defense Information System Agency (DISA) and ACE-IT protocols for compatibility with CorpsNet systems. All USACE equipment must be sourced from ACE-IT's Approved Product List (APL) to ensure proper management, operability, support, and compatibility standards are met. This is explicitly not a request for competitive proposals or quotes, though interested parties may provide specific product information for the Army's consideration regarding whether alternative products could meet government needs. Army Regulation 25-1 mandates that CHESS serve as the required procurement source for commercial off-the-shelf IT hardware purchases when available. Contractors should note that additional information may be requested following initial responses, and this notice represents the sole notification of the government's procurement intent.
