About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (CESAM) has issued a special notice regarding their intent to extend contract W9127820C0043 for the lease of a modular facility at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The current contractor is SES Electrical LLC, which was awarded the original contract as a sole source under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development Program. This contract extension is necessary due to construction delays associated with the Hurricane Michael recovery effort at the base. The notice serves as a formal announcement of the government's intention to continue the existing lease arrangement rather than compete a new contract at this time.
The primary purpose of this contract extension is to maintain continuity of services and prevent displacement of the current tenant until a new contractor can be awarded, thereby avoiding delays to military construction projects that the facility currently supports. While this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may submit capability statements by 2:00 p.m. CDT on October 29, 2025, for government review and consideration. Capability statements should demonstrate the offeror's experience and expertise in providing the required services within the necessary timeframe without substantial cost duplication to the government. Submissions must include information on business size, ability to self-perform work, layers of subcontracting, and other relevant qualifications, but should not include standard marketing materials. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete this contract action based on the responses received to this notice.
Notice text
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (CESAM) intends to extend contract no. W9127820C0043 to continue the lease of a modular facility at Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, due to construction delays as part of the Hurricane Michael recovery effort. The contractor is SES Electrical LLC, 10101 Global Way, Knoxville, TN, 37932. The contract was awarded as a sole source under the Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) Business Development (BD) Program.
