Added: Sep 17, 2013 11:09 am Modified: Sep 20, 2013 12:57 pmTrack Changes This synopsis formally announces the intent to award a sole source requirement (request number F1L0XP3232A002) to Pixia Corporation for approximately $20,092.49 for the base year, and $78,568.91 total to include three option years. Performance will take place at the 27 Special Operations Wing XP, Cannon AFB, NM, 88103. Performance will begin on or around 23 September 2013.

This has been awarded IAW 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii), the unique supplies or services are available from only one or a limited number of sources or from only one or a limited number of suppliers with unique capabilities. The applicable NAICS code is 541519 (Other Computer Related Services), with the small business size standard of $25,500,000.
To meet mission requirements, the subject effort is for the procurement one year plus four option years of server and encoder warranty maintenance to the HiPER LOOK system that has been provided by Pixia Corporation. Renewing these warranties will enable real time streaming of map data down to .5m CIB imagery and access to multiple terabytes of stored data allowing faster access to maps and detail that is not currently available. This is a high-bandwidth map data system used by remotely piloted aircraft and allows easier target recognition downrange and more updated maps for flights. The Air Force requires the continuation (renewal) of the current software license and maintenance support to properly maintain the HiPER LOOK system that this base procured under contract No. FA4855-12-P-0047. These services are deemed to be available only from the original source for the continued provision of this unique support system. A statement has been provided by Pixia, verifying they are the only company authorized to represent their software products to the US Government.

This one year subscription will start on or about 23 September 2013. The period of performance is from 25 September 2013 through 24 September 2014. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals IAW FAR 8.405-6 Limited Sources and FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source has been determined and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
