About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps has issued a Special Notice for a Sole Source contract to the American Correctional Association (ACA) for an ACA Audit of the MCI-West Regional Brig at Camp Pendleton, California. The Marine Corps intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract under FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures for the required services.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to identify the ACA as the only nationally recognized organization for correctional facility accreditation and auditing. The scope of work includes furnishing all professional services, labor, equipment, and materials to assess the facility's compliance with current ACA standards. The period of performance is from October 1, 2024 to November 30, 2024. The Marine Corps has determined that the ACA is the only reasonably available source due to SECNAVINST 1640.9D/SECNAV M-1640.1 requirements. All interested and responsible sources must provide an estimate to the Contract Specialist, Sgt Robert Maher, by August 19, 2024 at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.

This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract using FAR part 12 and Part 13 procedures.
Service Needed: Requirement for the American Correctional Association Audit (ACA) for MCI-West Regional Brig, Camp Pendleton, California. The scope of work shall consist of furnishing all professional services, labor, equipment and materials, and performing all necessary travel and associated services required to identify the compliancy of the Military Confinement Facilities against current ACA standards and criteria. The required period of performance is 1 October 2024 through 30 November 2024.
The Government intends to award on a Sole-Source basis to: The American Correctional Association, 206 N Washington ST STE 200, Alexandria, VA. 22314, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

ACA accredited brigs receive triennial accreditation audits”.
