About this opportunity
The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed-price contract to Cyprotex US, LLC for development of a human neural network formation new approach method to evaluate potential developmental neurotoxicity, with responses due by 5:00 pm ET on July 10, 2026. This is not a competitive procurement; the FDA cites FAR 6.302-1 authority and identifies Cyprotex as the only responsible source capable of meeting requirements, specifically because the vendor is the sole provider of a neural network formation NAM utilizing microelectrode array technology adaptable to FDA's specific needs. The acquisition uses simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12 for commercial products and services. Cyprotex US, LLC is located at 200 Staples Drive, Framingham, Massachusetts. Firms other than the named awardee may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements; the Government will review responses to determine whether alternative sources can satisfy the need, though the final decision to compete or proceed sole-source rests solely within Government discretion. Deliverables consist of raw experimental data in electronic format (.csv or .RData preferred), with estimated delivery by January 31, 2027. Responses should be directed to Haroon Gulzar at haroon.gulzar@fda.hhs.gov. The NAICS code is 541690 (Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services).
