About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service has published a Special Notice regarding its intent to award competitive Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Call Orders for wildlife and forest projects at the Francis-Marion & Sumter National Forests in South Carolina. This notice, posted on April 23, 2026, with a due date of May 11, 2026, is classified as a total small business set-aside opportunity. The announcement covers two primary service categories: Reforestation and Non-Native Invasive Species (NNIS) treatment services, as well as broader Wildlife and Forest Projects. This is explicitly not a solicitation for new proposals, but rather a synopsis of the Government's intention to award call orders under existing multiple-award BPAs previously established and posted on SAM.gov.
The primary objective is to issue competitive call orders valued in excess of $20,000 to qualified contractors already approved under the existing Reforestation and NNIS Treatment BPA and Wildlife and Forest Projects BPA. Eligibility is strictly limited to companies currently listed and approved as contractors on these pre-established BPAs; new contractors cannot apply through this notice. Selected contractors will be notified via email and must be prepared to provide comprehensive resources including labor, materials, equipment (with safety gear), tools, transportation (including enclosed, insulated cargo trailers), supervision, and all other necessary resources to execute work according to BPA specifications. The Forest Service, under the direction of point of contact Winston Buchanan (winston.buchanan@usda.gov), will issue the formal call order and any subsequent modifications to eligible BPA holders. No responses or proposals are requested at this time, and the Government will not provide feedback or evaluations related to this synopsis.
