About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking a contractor to evaluate, repair, and/or modify four specific items identified by their National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs): 015226118, 015226103, 015575365, and 015575364. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the Government's intent to sole source the contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, meaning only one contractor will be selected rather than engaging in a competitive bidding process. The primary requirement is that contractors possess the technical capability and data necessary to perform the required repairs, as the Government does not have access to this information internally. Interested contractors should submit capability statements to Brett Hassick, Contract Specialist, at brett.m.hassick.civ@us.navy.mil by March 3, 2026, which is 15 days from the notice publication date of February 24, 2026. While this is not a formal request for proposals, all responses received within the 15-day window will be considered by the Government in making its sole source determination.
There is no set-aside designation applicable to this procurement. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or current service providers, nor does it specify an award value or budget range for the contract. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334290 (Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 5895 (Miscellaneous Communication Equipment), suggesting the items are communications-related equipment. Contractors that are not currently approved sources for NAVSUP WSS must submit source approval information with their capability statement in accordance with the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. The Government notes that it will not delay contract award pending source approval, as the approval process typically cannot accommodate extended timelines.
