About this opportunity

The Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) for the provision of potable water services in support of the NNSA Livermore Field Office. The NNSA intends to award this contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, which allows for a sole source award when only one responsible source can fulfill the agency's requirements.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the NNSA's intent to award a sole source contract to SFPUC for the provision of potable water, firefighting, industrial, and irrigation services to the Livermore Field Office, including its Site 300 and Site 200 facilities. The contract will require the selected contractor to comply with all applicable laws, rules, codes, industry standards, permits, and regulations. While this is not a request for quotations or proposals, responsible sources that believe they can perform the required services may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to do so by September 13, 2024. The government will review any responses received solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement, and any costs incurred by interested parties will not be reimbursed.
