About this opportunity

The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service Region 4 has issued a Special Notice regarding a potential lease renewal for office space in Birmingham, Alabama. The notice indicates that the current government lease is set to expire, and the agency is exploring alternative space options that are economically advantageous. The Special Notice covers a requirement for 6 parking spaces (surface) with a full lease term of 60 months and a firm term of 24 months. GSA is seeking a fully serviced lease that meets specific government standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic compliance, and sustainability. The opportunity is identified with Federal Contract Opportunity ID 4f021ed50dc748ea8a5e368d7cc25316 and was posted on January 29, 2025.

Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their expressions of interest by February 3, 2025, directly to Ronnie Fulgham, the Leasing Contracting Officer, via email at ronnie.fulgham@gsa.gov. The space must not be located in a 100/500 year flood plain and must comply with telecommunications prohibitions outlined in Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. When evaluating potential spaces, the government will consider factors such as relocation costs, physical move expenses, tenant improvement replication, and potential agency downtime. The opportunity is categorized under NAICS 531120 for Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings and PSC X1AA for Lease/Rental of Office Buildings. No specific set-aside status is indicated, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of potential lessors who can meet the specified requirements.
