About this opportunity
The Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Applied Dynamics International to upgrade the GOES NOP BSE Chassis and BSE Host workstation. This upgrade is necessary to meet modern system standards and reduce obsolescence risk, supporting a further 10-year service life. The award will be made using Other than Full and Open Competition procedures per 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Responsible sources may submit capability statements for consideration by March 31, 2021.
This opportunity is set aside as a total small business contract. Applied Dynamics International is identified as a potential incumbent due to their experience with NOAA's satellite information systems. No budget range or value is provided, though the sole source award suggests the contract would continue Applied Dynamics International's work on the GOES NOP BSE platform for the next 10 years.
