About this opportunity
The Special Notice from the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Vicksburg announces the consolidation of contract requirements for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity multiple award task order contract to lease cutterhead hydraulic pipeline dredges no less than 24 inches in diameter. The consolidated contract will have a 60-month ordering period and $49.5 million total capacity to support maintenance dredging of federal navigation channels within Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
The consolidation is necessary to reduce administrative costs by an estimated $1.8 million over five years and lower mobilization and demobilization costs by over $7.5 million annually compared to unconsolidated contracts. The solicitation will be unrestricted to allow both small and large businesses to compete, with an April 13, 2022 deadline. The consolidated contract requirements are aimed at leveraging economies of scale for the lease of cutterhead dredges to support critical dredging needs across the region in a more cost-effective manner.
