About this opportunity

The Department of Commerce Office of Acquisition Management Shared Services Procurement Office issued a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract to Rockport Analytics on behalf of the International Trade Administration's National Travel and Tourism Office, with proposals due June 19, 2026. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 12.102 and 41 U.S.C. 1901, permitting award without full and open competition because only one source is reasonably available to satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be a 12-month purchase order for a FIFA World Cup 2026 Economic Impact Study. The objective is to provide a comprehensive, data-driven assessment of economic impacts from World Cup–related tourism on the U.S. economy, covering national and regional visitor spending, tourism-related economic activity, sector-specific effects, employment impacts, and implications for U.S. travel exports and international visitation. The analysis must quantify direct, indirect, and induced economic impacts and assess effects across hospitality, transportation, food and beverage, retail, and recreation sectors. Deliverables will support National Travel and Tourism Office and ITA leadership decision-making, interagency coordination, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications.
