About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a Special Notice for a one-year subscription to Jeppesen Publications for their Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) located in Lakeland, Florida. This procurement opportunity involves navigational database subscriptions for NOAA's fleet of eight aircraft, with all subscription invoices being prorated to ensure a unified performance period ending July 2, 2026. The notice indicates that only one company, Jeppesen - A Boeing Company, provides the required database updates for Jeppesen navigational charts. The opportunity is classified under NAICS code 488190 for Other Support Activities for Air Transportation and PSC code 6605 for Navigational Instruments. No set-aside provisions apply to this procurement, and the due date for responses is July 1, 2025.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to renew essential navigational database subscriptions that enhance flight safety and situational awareness for NOAA aircrew members conducting missions at the AOC. The database provides access to current navigational charts for all airports within the AOC's operational area, enabling effective flight briefings and execution across all flight phases. The subscription period must cover July 2, 2025 through July 3, 2026, with delivery and installation required by June 30, 2025. Given that Jeppesen is identified as the sole provider of these specialized navigational chart database updates, the government intends to purchase directly from this single source. The notice emphasizes that maintaining consistency across all eight aircraft is critical for operational effectiveness and safety standards.
