In reviewing the finishes, the finish schedule shows the Generator, HVAC, Phone and Fire rooms just CMU and not painted CMU. I have included the gyp walls to be painted standard color. Are you sure you don?t want the CMU walls painting as well?

A: Rooms 119, 120, 121, 122 and 123 are noted on the finish schedule for the masonry to be painted. Rooms 124, 125, 126 and 127 are not noted on the finish schedule to be painted. The Generator, HVAC, Phone and Fire Riser rooms are not to be painted.

Is this project tax exempt? Yes.

Section 09-3000 Tiling. Is tile required in the showers in Restrooms 110 and 111? If so, is it to be floors and walls? Refer to 9/A400. Floor tile is specified as 2x2 glazed ceramic mosaic tile and wall tile is 4x4 glazed wall tile.

Will we be required to provide the backer board at the shower walls per this section? At the wet walls? Backer board is required at all wall tile.

The specifications call for waterproofing membrane and crack isolation membrane. Is this to include waterproofing in the shower, at the floor tile and on the wet walls or just at the showers? Waterproofing membrane is required at the showers only.

Will the crack isolation be required? If so, what area? No crack isolation required.

9/ A400 requires sloping the tile to the drains in the showers. ( 1/4'' per ft.) The tile listed on the finish schedule is a 12 x 24. The specification manual list a 2 x 2 mosaic and a 12 x 12. Which tile is to be used? Shower shall be 2x2 glazed ceramic mosaic tile with matte finish.

Section 09-6519 and 09-6770 Resilient Flooring. Is Room 113 to receive Armstrong Standard VCT or Armstrong Static Dissipative Tile? ( A500 Finish Room Schedule Comments) Armstrong static dissipative tile.

C106 detail G10 Note: ?asphalt by others? Is the asphalt not in this project?

The asphalt is not to be included under this contract. There will be a communications tower construction project shortly after construction of this project which would damage the asphalt, so it will be completed by the other contractor.

Added: Apr 24, 2015 12:24 pm The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration (Southwestern) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to construct single-story facility located at 210 N. Maynard Rd., Nixa, Missouri 65714 (on state highway 14, 2 miles west of Nixa, Missouri in Christian County on the north side of the highway). The single-story facility is designed to meet FEMA 361 standards but not funded by FEMA. Work generally consists of, but is not limited to earthwork, plumbing, heat, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical, mechanical, utilities, communications, stand-by generator, and all other work associated with the construction of the alternate control building, to include furnishing systems furniture and storage. All work shall be in accordance with both the general specifications, site specific statements of work, and site plans/drawings incorporated in the solicitation package.

This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. The magnitude of this project is estimated to between $1,000,000.00 and 5,000,000.00. The estimated project completion date is September 2016.

Contractor registration in the Government?s System for Award Management (SAM) is required in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may be completed and information regarding the registration process may be obtained at http://www.sam.gov.

The solicitation package will be issued on or about May 13, 2015, with bids being due on or about June 15, 2015. Once issued, solicitation documents will be available electronically for download at https://www.fedconnect.net. Hard copies of the solicitation package will not be distributed. All responsible sources may submit a bid and will be considered by Southwestern.
