About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Medical is issuing a Request for Information to identify sources for U.S.-manufactured nitrile examination gloves, with responses due December 3, 2026. The notice uses no set-aside, and domestic end-product status under Executive Order 14005 is the decisive constraint. The RFI is solely for market research, does not constitute a solicitation, and commits the Government to no award or payment. The gloves are for military treatment facilities.

Gloves must meet or exceed ASTM D6319, D5151, D6124, D6978, F1671, and ISO 10993 standards. Products must show balanced durability and tensile strength, proven barrier protection against fentanyl and gastric acid permeation, and resistance to a minimum of 50 hazardous drugs per ASTM D6978 and/or the NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs. Gloves require FDA Class I medical device status with active 510(k) clearance, an Acceptable Quality Level of 1.0 or better, and low dermatitis potential labeling claims supported by clinical data. Non-black colors are required, with grey, blue, or lavender preferred.

Respondents must provide company information, evidence of compliance with each requirement, and domestic manufacturing facility locations, with timelines where production is not yet established. Responses must also cover partnerships with signed commitment letters, country of origin for Nitrile Butadiene Rubber, manufacturing capacity and lead times, and box dispensing methods that support infection control. Submit responses electronically in PDF or Word format to Catherine Gilbert (catherine.gilbert@dla.mil) and Jayne Do (jayne.do@dla.mil).
