About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking repair services for three critical components of the H53E helicopter platform: a detector (NSN 7RE6665011447117, P/N 12404-1), a signal processor (NSN 7RH1615011302901, P/N 12100-7), and a pressure indicator (NSN 7RE6620011258904, P/N 12210-1). This procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis under FAR 6.302-1, with General Nucleonics Inc (CAGE 24494) identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer and sole known source capable of providing repair support. The Government does not own the technical data or manufacturing rights required to source these components from alternative suppliers. All responsible sources are invited to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration, though the agency intends to award to General Nucleonics Inc as the only source meeting agency requirements. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 20, 2026, with a deadline of March 7, 2026 for interested parties to respond or express their capability to perform the work.
This procurement carries no small business set-aside designation. General Nucleonics Inc is the expected awardee based on its status as the approved source and OEM for these repair parts; any non-approved firms must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), though the Government will not delay procurement to await SAR approval. The contract duration is fixed at 60 months, and procurement will follow FAR Part 15 negotiation procedures while utilizing FAR Part 12 commercial items policies based on market research. The solicitation will include Buy American clauses and will impose Unique Identification (UID) requirements. No specific award value or quantity details are provided in the pre-solicitation notice; however, the procurement relates to repair and renewal of supply items for naval aviation platforms, suggesting operational criticality and sustained demand throughout the 60-month contract period.
