About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia intends to solicit repair services on a sole source basis for a Control Indicator, A component (Part Number 71902-21000-041, NSN 7R 1680 015289926). The Government does not own the technical data or drawings necessary to source this item from alternative suppliers, limiting competition to a single responsible source. While this is designated as a sole source procurement, all responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration by the agency within 45 days of the synopsis posting. The Government will evaluate proposals under the provisions of FAR Part 15 rather than FAR Part 12 commercial items procedures, and award is expected to be issued under existing Basic Ordering Agreement N0038322GY601. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on December 4, 2025, with a due date of December 22, 2025, allowing prospective contractors approximately 18 days to prepare and submit responses.

This procurement carries no small business set-aside designation and anticipates awarding to Sikorsky as the sole source contractor, given the agency's expectation of receiving a single acceptable offer from this source. The requirement encompasses a quantity of four units for repair. Any firm not already approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), though the Government will not delay the requirement to await SAR approval. No specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement falls under NAICS 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 1680 (Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components), and all electronic solicitation procedures will be posted through NECO.
