About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to assess market capabilities for motor fan refurbishment. This market research aims to determine the technical capabilities of both small and large businesses interested in potential future procurement. Potential contractors must have completed a NIST 800-171 self-assessment within the past three years through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) and be compliant with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) requirements. To access the full Statement of Work, interested companies must email their CAGE Code to specific Air Force contract representatives, Erica Anglin and Andrew Waggoner, and obtain confirmation of their cybersecurity assessment compliance. The deadline for responses and market research submissions is May 7, 2025, with the posted date being April 29, 2025.
The procurement method for this opportunity remains flexible and will be determined based on the market research responses, with potential outcomes including a single source acquisition, a partial or full small business set-aside, or full and open competition. The opportunity falls under NAICS category 811310 for Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted, and the government has indicated that feedback or evaluations may or may not be provided to participating companies. While specific award values or precise quantities are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the focus appears to be on establishing a pool of qualified vendors capable of conducting motor fan refurbishment services for the Air Force Test Center. The research will ultimately help the government determine the most appropriate procurement strategy for this potential future contract.
