About this opportunity

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing a Next Generation Ejection Seat (NGES) that meets the Air Force's safety and sustainment requirements. The NGES must integrate with the existing Crew Ejection Seat Escape System (CESES) on the F-15, F-16, F-22, and B-1 aircraft. The government has released a System Requirements Document (SRD) detailing the technical specifications and is seeking feedback from interested vendors on their ability to meet the requirements, any limitations, and proposed timelines. Responses are due by September 11, 2024, and should include a rough order of magnitude cost estimate for development, production, integration, and technical data rights.

This acquisition is not currently set aside for any particular business size. The government may consider setting it aside for small businesses based on the responses received. No potential incumbents or current contractors are named. The government has not provided any specific budget or quantity information, but is seeking cost-effective solutions to meet the Air Force's NGES requirements.
