Questions and Answers for solicitation number W81K00-16-T-M033
1. In Section II: Specific Testing Requirements, for "T-cell related lymphocyte deficiencies" - are you referring to "Severe Combined Immunodeficiency's (SCID)"?
Answer: T-cell related deficiencies may include, but is not limited to SCID as some labs test for SCID and other labs may have related tests.
2. In Section VI: Genetic Counseling, is a "licensed newborn screening nurse" the same as a "licensed Newborn Screening Genetic Counselor"?
Answer: "The contractor shall provide the availability of knowledgeable and licensed newborn screening nurses and other healthcare providers for discussion and interpretation of test results." is what we listed as a requirement in the PWS, because licensed Newborn Screening Genetic Counselors are usually hard to come by, but it is not limited to just nurses. Licensed Newborn Screening Genetic Counselors have even greater knowledge of the Newborn Screening disorders to provide support; therefore both are acceptable.
