This is a SPECIAL NOTICE to announce an INDUSTRY DAY for New York District Small Business Industry Day to be held on 25 March 2020, beginning 10:00 am.
The purpose of this event is to allow the Government the opportunity to provide to interested companies a brief overview of the requirements for upcoming contracts within USACE New York District's area of responsibility, as well as to obtain valuable feedback and address specific questions from companies relating to the many planned projects and their opportunities for small businesses. Small businesses will have the opportunity to meet with other small businesses as well provide capability statements to members of the New York District Corps of Engineers.
OVERVIEW
The New York District Small Business Program supports the development of small businesses and maximizes opportunities for qualified Small, Small Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) businesses. In addition, such concerns are to be afforded the maximum practicable opportunity to participate as subcontractors in qualifying contracts awarded to large business, thereby ensuring a broad base for supplies and services in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers mission, and to strengthen economic development.
