About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring two fuel control units (NSN 2915-01-463-7933PR) designed for the F110 aircraft engine's afterburner system. These manufactured components are aluminum alloy units measuring 12 inches in length by 12 inches in width by 7.6 inches in height, weighing 32 pounds each, and functioning to regulate fuel flow during augmented engine operation. The RFP (SPRTA1-26-R-0260) will be issued on May 13, 2026, with a proposal closing date of June 12, 2026. The Government intends to conduct a limited competition under FAR 6.302 authority based on responses to this pre-solicitation notice, and all inquiries must be submitted in writing or by fax only, with electronic procedures mandated for the solicitation process. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address contractor concerns during proposal development, though this role does not extend to proposal evaluation or source selection decisions.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and identifies GE Aviation (CAGE code 07482) as the currently known sole source capable of meeting Government requirements. The requested delivery date for the two units is December 31, 2026, with shipment directed to DBA00C. While specific contract award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the procurement falls within the Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing NAICS category (336412) and the Gas Turbines and Jet Engines, Aircraft, Prime Moving, and Components PSC category (2840).
